White spot Lesions: Pediatric dentistry approach

Introduction: White spot lesions (WSL) develop because of a prolonged buildup plaque on the surface teeth, commonly due to improper oral hygiene. The non-invasive options available in pediatric dentistry for WSL include application fluoride gel and desensitizing agents, addition resin infiltration technique. Objective: Analyze literature white dentistry, know etiology, epidemiology, prevention, as well recommended treatment. Methodology: To carry out this review, an electronic search was necessary using PubMed Google Scholar with words lesions, Results: appear mainly result inadequate hygiene, addition, different associated factors were found such use orthodontic appliances. Fluoride is widely used agent preventing incipient caries or first treatment option remineralization various remineralizing agents Amorphous calcium peptide-phosphate casein-phosphate paste. Conclusion: Among prevention strategies WSL, we can mention education parents, correct educate nutrition preventive fluoride.
